HISTORY OF THE ESTABLISHMENT OF SABAH

At first origin of the name Sabah is considerably less clear, so many theories have arisen. One of them is when Sabah was ruled by the Sultan of Brunei, as it is referred to as Saba banana presence. In addition, the word Sabah also be due to the location of Sabah in relation to Brunei, it leads a Malay word meaning upstream in Brunei. After Sabah occupied by some foreign power, finally on 16 September 1963 North Borneo was officially united with Malaya, Sarawak and Singapore to form the federation of Malaysia.
